If you claim yourself as a Japanese mania, than you have to know about the coolest band in Japan, the GazettE. 

the GazettE (ガゼット) first debut in 2002 with 5 members which are all men. The three members which found the GazettE are Ruki, Reita and Uruha. After that, they recruited Aoi and Yune from the same band. Under "Martina" label, they released their first single, "Wakaremichi". In 2003, Yune left the band and was replaced with Kai. the GazettE's music style is rather interesting. Some of their songs are considered to the genre of heavy metal where you can find it in "OGRE", some, alternative rock like in "Taion" and "Invisible Wall". Funk rock in "Silly God Disco", hard rock in "LEECH" and "HYENA". They also produced numbers of ballad like "reila", "Cassis", "PLEDGE", and "Guren".
